Summary
The Manager, NABPAC provides financial, data and administrative support to the National Association of Broadcasters Political Action Committee (NABPAC) and serves as the primary contact regarding the responsibilities of NABPAC compliance with FEC guidelines and regulations. This position also oversees the donor database system interface and assists with executive-level meetings and events.
Essential Functions
Work with the Vice President, NABPAC and Advocacy Initiatives to ensure the NABPAC fundraising plan is executed, bylaws are adhered to, and deadlines are met.
Engage with donors outside of Trustee group, take ownership of Trustee data
and requests during Blitz and throughout calendar year, establish annual recurring and NAB staff outreach program, as well as SAE underwriting renewals, develop analytics to track fundraising efforts and coordinate across NAB departments.
Lead cross-department initiatives: Salesforce integration, review of PAC websites, annual reports and other marketing outreach, research and implement more analytics around advocacy messaging, donor outreach and renewals
Establish and grow Trustee cohorts (next wave of PAC and advocacy leaders program) through coordination among BLT grads, recruits from EOY survey and other outreach at existing NAB events.
Oversee fundraising requests, check requests, and check disbursements for NABPAC in coordination with the Government Relations team on a weekly basis.
Oversee incoming receipts process by managing recurring credit card processing, membership benefits and appropriate transfer of funds to any campaign or committee.
Maintain and update the $1M+ NABPAC disbursement budget on a weekly basis in coordination with the Vice President.
Manage the database vendor relationship and keep the donor database system updated and organized on a daily basis. Serve as the system expert and train other staff as necessary.
Prepare monthly Federal Election Commission (FEC) reports including but not limited to: Copying incoming checks, making bank deposits, collecting, authorizing credit card payments and reviewing compliance procedures with Legal department. Maintain files and other financial records as required to fully comply with FEC regulations, as well as NAB Finance department regarding payroll deductions and NAB payments.
Assist the Vice President. in the creation and implementation of the NABPAC marketing plan including overseeing deadlines, providing content, working with outside vendors and other NAB departments throughout editing and payment process, preparing monthly donor mailings, "thank you's", and renewals for NABPAC, as well as any necessary follow-up reminders.
Manage all aspects of the logistical planning and coordination for the NABPAC fundraising blitzes, annual NABPAC retreat, other PAC meetings and events including comp registration processes, prior approval campaigns, NAB board meetings and State Association conventions.
Provide day-to-day support in scheduling, organization, Trustee and NABPAC list management, and other areas to increase efficiency of the department.
Work with outside vendors and NAB marketing team on consistent branding, messaging and ample inventory of PAC materials including nabpac.com, the conduit site and any external outreach material.
Staff and attend NAB-hosted events and external meetings as the individual representing NAB and NABPAC.
Work with the Vice President and Government Relations team to improve outreach to key stakeholders in the D.C. community.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Four-year degree and 3+ years of related experience.
Experience processing large sums of disbursements, receipts and payroll contributions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Aristotle database.
Knowledge of FEC Compliance guidelines.
Detail-oriented, team player that is highly organized, proactive and works well under pressure.
Focused and responsive individual who is willing to get the job done and assist in all duties to meet annual NABPAC goals.
Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.
Preferred Education and Experience
Familiarity with Salesforce and Quorum database.
Work Location and Schedule
Availability to work hybrid work schedule which includes at least three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) in the Washington D.C. office. Availability to attend events and/or work during evenings and weekends, as needed. Ability to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.
