Responsibilities
The general responsibility for this position is to solicit, develop, investigate and activate new clients to generate business in central/eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and parts of the southern New York region. This position will have lending authority and purchase credits in a timely, effective manner and communicate the credit decisions to dealers in a professional manner. Must continually maintain a healthy bank/dealer relationship through consistent contact (field calls) with the ability to travel and at times have extended stays away from home. The person in this position will attend dealer shows and special events; resolve dealer problems and complaints in person; brief the Indirect Business Development Manager as to the competitive environment and dealer relationships; as well as provide a smooth work flow of credit applications, (i.e. approvals, conditions, declines or pendings).
Essential Duties:Activate new dealerships - serves as the primary developer of new indirect business for an assigned/designated territory through frequent sales calls on automobile, RV, marine and sport utility dealershipsProvide step-up authority to employees with lesser authority (lending levels are appropriately based on years of service and skill set)In conjunction with the Department Manager, will support and make recommendations pertaining to the competitive climate and relevant indirect programs:
Will assist the other Business Development Officers with the development of new programs to be marketed to new and existing dealership (i.e. flat fee programs, dealer reserves, lease programs, dealership promotional events, by-downs, etc.)Personally present and communicate/educate these programs to dealers
Jointly establish annual quantitative customer service and sales objectives with the Indirect Business Development Manager; this activity is to be integrated with the Department's annual operating planProvide quality service to customers, whether internal or externalMaintain appropriate records and reports in order to evaluate individual dealer relationshipsFrom time to time will investigate and resolve dealer inadequacies in an effort to protect the Bank's assetsPerform floor plan checks as necessaryComply with established operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the Bank's adherence to outside regulatory agenciesMaintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet all job training requirements in a timely mannerPerform other related duties as assigned or directedAncillary Duties:
As an integral member of the Indirect Lending Department, this position is responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Department and the Bank in achieving their goals.

Education, Training and Requirements:
Associates Degree RequiredB.S. or B.A. degree in a related field of study preferredHistory of specialized training in sales and/or marketingValid driver's licenseAll applicants must be 18 years of age or olderSkills:

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
