We are hiring for an SAP Developer position in the Information Technology (IT) department with the responsibility to provide SAP ABAP and BTP development and support within Ergon's SAP ERP modules. Position will work to transform business requirements, for both new request and modifications, into technical specifications that can be used to build, test, and debug programs. The position will also be responsible for working with interfaces between SAP and other third-party applications.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years ABAP Programming experience; BTP experience a plus. In addition, 3 to 4 years full cycle implementations in a leadership role. In-depth understanding of the core SAP data structures. Experience managing off-shore development teams. Post-implementation support experience. Experience with defining and coding conversions and interfaces using LSMW, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, IDOC, BDC, ABAP OO and Web-Dynpro. Experience with SAP R/3 in the SD, MM, BI and FI-CO Modules a plus. Configuration experience with any SAP module plus. Must possess good analytical skills and excellent problem solving skills. Must have proficiency in project management methodology and applications (e.g. MS Project & Project Server). Knowledgeable and experienced in systems development life cycle: analysis, design, development, test, implementation and support. Solid understanding of business strategy and business processes. Proficient at documenting business and IT processes. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Authors complex documents and clear and understandable reports. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to demonstrate proven technical and troubleshooting aptitudes and capabilities. Ability to perform successfully in a team environment. Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and ability to bring focus to tasks. Ability to lead and manage geographically dispersed development teams. Ability to mentor peers on ABAP programming and best practices. Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new software and new skills. ABAP

er Responsibilities:
Contributes on technical knowledge of programming and analysis. Analyzes and generates application and technical requirements for ABAP objects. Maintains system in accordance with department standards and SAP best practices. Assists with the creation of a detailed project plans, helps identify any potential deadline problems before they become critical. Corrects, revises and improves functional programs to make operating refinements, reduce operating time, and improve present techniques and procedures. Creates documentation as required for good SDLC practices for current and future states of business processes. Coordinates with security team. Participates in ABAP development throughout the enterprise. Interfaces with off-shore development resources if utilized. Assists in coordinating testing activities between on-shore and off-shore teams, if utilized. Provide On-Call support for applications previously listed. Complete all work assignments in a timely manner. Keep supervisor informed about the status or changes with work activities. Consult with supervisor regarding problems or situations outside the scope of your authority. Assist with other department functions as time permits.
