Provide compassionate and competent direct patient care under the guidance of experienced nursing staff.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate documentation of patient responses.Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients, ensuring their holistic needs are met.Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques to promote wellness and prevent complications.Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe patient care environment.Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address emergent situations and provide timely interventions.Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills, staying current with evidence-based practices and healthcare trends.Uphold professional standards, ethical principles, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.Foster a positive and empathetic atmosphere for patients, supporting them through their healthcare journey.Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively convey information to patients, families, and colleagues.Qualifications
Valid/Active Registered Nurse license (must be obtained prior to start date)Successful completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Diploma Nursing ProgramNational Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certificationCompetencies Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.Adept at multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to fast-paced and changing environments.Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity.Willingness to learn, receive constructive feedback, and contribute to a positive learning environment.Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications.Compliance with HIPPA standardsCredentials
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association is required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are beneficial.Education
