The Director of Marketing Communications will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing marketing campaigns and communications strategies to promote the Firm's investment products and services. This role requires strong writing, editing, and project management skills, along with the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure the firm's messaging is clear, cohesive, compliant, and aligned with corporate goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of asset management marketing, an ability to translate complex financial concepts into compelling narratives, and a proven track record in overseeing high-quality marketing initiatives that drive business results.Essential FunctionsCampaign Development & Management
Research, create, and lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns that effectively promote the Firm's investment strategies across digital platforms, website, presentations, email, print, and other relevant channels.Develop compelling and differentiated messaging that communicates the unique value propositions of the Firm's investment strategies to targeted audiences.Drive lead generation initiatives and support new client acquisition through targeted campaigns aligned with business objectives.Content Creation & Editorial OversightDevelop, maintain, and execute a robust content calendar covering thought leadership, client (financial advisor) communications, lead generation, and internal marketing initiatives.Oversee the creation of timely and relevant market commentary, educational content, and product updates that engage financial advisors and support the firm's strategic objectives.Ensure that all content meets compliance standards and is reviewed and approved by necessary stakeholders.Collaboration with Internal and External StakeholdersPartner with Executive Leadership, Client Portfolio Management, Portfolio Management, Sales, Product, and Compliance teams to align marketing initiatives with corporate objectives, ensuring all communications are clear, compliant, and impactful.Work with internal teams to identify product positioning opportunities and contribute to strategy discussions to effectively communicate the benefits and differentiators of the Firm's products.Events Marketing & CoordinationCollaborate with the Events Manager to create and execute marketing plans for conferences, advisor meetings, due diligence meetings, and other events, ensuring brand messaging is consistent across all stakeholder touchpoints.Agency & Vendor ManagementManage relationships with external partners, including marketing agencies, public relations firms, industry publications, and thought leaders, to amplify the firm's presence and ensure consistent messaging in the marketplace.Analytics & ReportingMeasure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and report on key performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.Conduct competitor analysis and market research to stay informed of industry trends and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.Strategic Brand DevelopmentEnsure that all products and strategies have a unique, differentiated narrative that resonates with the firm's target audience and builds brand loyalty.Support the development of branding guidelines and ensure that all marketing materials adhere to established brand standards.Competencies for SuccessBA or BS or equivalent degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related disciplineMinimum of 7-10 years of marketing communications experience, with a proven track record of implementing marketing communications strategiesMinimum of 5-7 years' financial services experience, preferably with an asset management firm developing financial and creative content targeted to financial advisors and other institutional investors.CFP® CIMA, MBA, FINRA Series 7 or 66 a plusDeep understanding of investments spanning equity, fixed income, and alternative strategiesStrong verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting, social media, and editingRobust research skills; ability to comprehend and translate financial related concepts and informationAbility to work individually on a project or in collaboration with a team in anentrepreneurial work environmentStrong project management skills ensuring all deadlines are met and objectives are clearly communicated (proactive and able to define and execute projects on a self-directed basis)Possesses strong intellectual curiosity and motivation to extract deep insights and understanding of performance resultsHighly organized and detail oriented to ensure quality control of all marketing piecesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, SalesForce and Adobe InDesignAbout Clark Capital
