• Excellent organizational and coordination skills• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as a part of a collaborative team• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software• Knowledge of IT project management principles is a plus

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Associate Dean, Engineering & Advanced Technology. May take direction from other department leadership and administrators.SUPERVISION GIVEN: none.
Job Function
The STEM Outreach Coordinator will be part of the Engineering & Advanced Technology team supporting assigned projects. This position will develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness of automotive and related STEM occupations, through collaboration with Engineering & Advanced Technology, The Center for Advanced Automotive Technology and local schools/school districts.Job Responsibilities
Cultivate collaborative relationships with academic partners to increase student/parent awareness of automotive and STEM related occupations.Develop presentations on various careers and technologies and deliver to local schools.Plan, attend and promote STEM related K-12 career exploration activities and events in partnership with employers and educators.Work with CAAT and Engineering & Advanced Technology team to support project initiatives and goals.Assist in developing marketing materials that promote STEM related career pathwaysCoordinate workshops and camps for K-12 students.Organize hands on activities and demonstrations for K-12 students.Schedule and coordinate visits with K-12 schools.Maintain accurate records to support reporting on projects and continuous improvement.Attend and represent the college at community events and other activities as needed that promotes enrollment into designated programs.Collaborate with internal staff to ensure a cohesive and effective student intake process.Provide regular updates on status for all projects, document initiatives within projects and distribute to all key stakeholders.Meets with external clients, staff, faculty, and students to coordinate admission event details.Provide outstanding customer service to external clients, staff, faculty, and students through excellent communication, responsiveness, and problem-solving issues.Participate in continuous improvement methods, including regular evaluation of all admission events and following-up with both internal and external clients and partners.
Education
Associate's degree in business, or related technical field and 3 years experience in career and technical education, outreach, or career development. OR A Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, and 1 year experience career and technical education, outreach, or career development
