Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual (English & Native Spanish) Redhat Linux Administrator with extensive experience managing Redhat Linux systems on GCP. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in Linux/UNIX environments, including clustering, patching, and network components management (DNS, DHCP, TCP). This role involves supporting cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms, performing migrations, handling escalations, and delivering high-quality customer service in a 24x7 production environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux/UNIX systems, with a focus on Redhat Linux on GCP.
• Perform OS/server administration, patching, maintenance, and cloud administration on various platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within UNIX environments, including clustering, backup, and patching.
• Provide on-call support as part of a rotation, handling P1/P2 calls and escalations.
• Support migrations using tools like Double Take and methodologies for Linux VHS V2V, Vmotion, and Solaris Zones migration.
• Create KB articles, Problem Management articles, and SOPs/runbooks for operational support.
• Assist L1/L2 staff in support and mentor them when needed.
• Collaborate on automation tasks using Shell scripting, Python, and Ansible, with experience in DevOps and Terraform as a plus.
• Conduct POCs, work independently on projects, and stay updated with emerging technologies like Containers and PaaS.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, ensuring timely, outstanding customer service.
Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of operational experience, including 5+ years in cloud support within a 24x7 production model.
• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX platforms, specifically Ubuntu, RHEL/SuSE, and Redhat Linux.
• 2+ years of experience in scripting and API development (Shell scripting, Python, Ansible).
• Strong knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing, networking, and storage, with a focus on AWS and GCP (Azure is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Double Take and other migration tools.
• Knowledge of Linux VHS V2V, Vmotion, and Solaris Zones migrations.
• Familiarity with Containers and PaaS solutions.
• DevOps experience, especially with Terraform and automation.
