Job Summary

The Synovus Wealth Banking Consultant (WBA) works with Private Wealth Advisors (PWA) as they manage a portfolio of high net-worth clients and provides direct sales and servicing of banking products. Participates in key client interactions to profile, recommend and close deposit and loan products and services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Works in conjunction with PWAs to efficiently manage and develop a portfolio of high net-worth relationships with the focus on traditional banking products and services. Targeted support primarily for clients with at least $1MM or more in assets or prospects in process of meeting the same minimum AUM.Typically focuses majority of time on core banking and lending activities while delivering a client experience that demonstrates understanding of the client's needs and proactive thinking about wealth management issues, opportunities and solutions.Participates in key client interactions to profile, recommend, and close deposit and loan products and services. Opens accounts and/or refers client to other lines of business. Assists in identifying the unique needs of existing and prospective clients in areas of banking and lending services. Helps educate clients with the knowledge required to make sound decisions around their goals and objectives.Sells and closes consumer loans and administers lending relationships. Coordinates loan application process with Credit team. Ensures applications and all associated documentation is obtained from clients.Participates fully in components of the line of business sales and relationship management process including client retention and expansion. Maintains updated relationship history to support ongoing relationship expansion activities. Prepares client presentations for current and prospective clients. Recognizes relationship at risk and notifies the PWA.Analyzes financial and credit needs of the customer and provides recommendations of appropriate company products/services. May approve loans and terms within authorized limits, conferring with management on larger or more complex loans; monitors existing loan portfolios to detect development of unfavorable trends and ensure conformity with terms.Stays abreast of product and procedural changes, market trends and promotions, and new products and services. Networks in the community to identify and capitalize on new business development opportunities.Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.Performs other related duties as required.The information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience:

Three years of banking or other financial institution experience selling precuts and services to clients with complex financial profiles.

Certifications:

This position requires successful registration and issuance of a unique identification number from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE ACT). Registration must be accomplished within an established timeframe after initial employment and includes a nationwide finger print check.
