Audubon is currently seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Project Controls Specialist will plan and execute the cost and schedule control requirements for projects under administrative guidance. Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the approved plan, and communicates the reasons for variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with developing engineering and field cost estimates for internal resourcesAssist in generating project schedules, budgets, and resourcing based on information provided by the project team or project controls lead.Assist with analyzing and reporting project costs and progress using provided reporting tools.Assist with monitoring and control cost through sound cost engineering principles.Work interactively with project team members to accurately maintain update cost and schedule.Review contractor change orders for accuracy based on progress reports from internal project team.Assist with reconciliation of all commitments and expenditures with financial controls.Review internal charges and cost reports against project plan to assure proper invoicing to client.Interface with discipline personnel for rules of credit / earned value.EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required: AS or BS degree or equivalent years of experience in the workplaceRequired: 2+ years of applicable experience.Preferred: 5+ years of applicable experience. Software: Primavera, MS Project, MS Excel.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Must possess strong computer skills in the area of spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software.Knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera Project Manager or Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables for analysis of data is required.Experience and/or knowledge in the use of Microsoft Access database, automated accounting and cost management systems is preferred.
