The candidate will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of various Middleware platforms, including Oracle Fusion Middleware and IBM WebSphere, as well as performing routine systems administration tasks on Red Hat Linux and AIX operating systems. The position requires strong experience in managing complex enterprise middleware systems, including WebLogic, WebSphere, and FileNet platforms.Key Responsibilities:
Middleware System Architecture & Design:Design, implement, and support WebLogic and WebSphere middleware platforms, consolidating legacy systems to newer versions (e.g., WLS 12c, WLS 14c).Architect and configure solutions for the Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) platform, including deploying reports and dashboards.Collaborate with the DOH agency to support the IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and FileNet platform for Enterprise Content Management (ECM).Implement and maintain the FileNet system, including upgrades, patches, and coordination with the FileNet team.Design and implement Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations for WebLogic, WebSphere, and OBIEE platforms.
Systems Administration:Manage middleware environments (WebLogic, WebSphere, OBIEE) and perform routine server administration tasks.Configure and maintain web servers (Tomcat, Apache, Nginx) and J2EE software applications on WebLogic systems.Perform regular system maintenance, including the application of security patches, bug fixes, and software enhancements.Monitor system logs to ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) for application uptime.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:Use performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Wily, New Relic) to identify and resolve performance issues in WebLogic and WebSphere platforms.Troubleshoot performance issues and perform thread dump analysis using tools like Samurai, Thread Dump Analyzer, and JVisualVM.Proactively monitor server and web server logs to identify potential issues and optimize performance.
Collaboration & Support:Collaborate with development teams to define optimal solutions for new application development, including database connections, security, and internal/external application configurations.Provide on-call support (24x7) for production systems and resolve technical issues promptly.Work with vendor support to troubleshoot and resolve web server and operating system issues as necessary.
Documentation & Training:Document procedures and best practices in SharePoint.Provide training to staff members on system usage and procedures as needed.Assist with the onboarding and configuration of new middleware technologies.
Required Experience & Skills:Linux Expertise:84 months of experience working in a Linux-based environment, with a strong understanding of Linux internals and system administration.
Middleware Platforms:84 months of experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware products, including installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of Oracle WebLogic Servers, Web servers, and SOA Suite.60 months of experience with IBM WebSphere (WAS) Servers, IBM HTTP Web Servers, and managing the WAS platform for FileNet ECM systems.Experience with application server troubleshooting, performance tuning, and thread dump analysis in WebLogic.
Business Intelligence & Analytics:60 months of experience with OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence) and BI Publisher, including installation, configuration, and administration.Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) for OBIEE and WebLogic platforms.
Performance & Monitoring Tools:60 months of experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Wily, and New Relic.
