JOB SUMMARY:

The Event Coordinator oversees all aspects of live entertainment and sports events at Delta Center. Typical responsibilities include booking, preparing estimates, and contracts, coordinating event functions, and supervising event services. This position is also expected to be the acting manager on duty for events. Coordinates and oversees all phases of select events giving great attention to detail, while maintaining high customer service standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves on the team of contacts for Delta Center events including ticketed and non-ticketed shows/games and all other events. (Specializing in the planning and coordination of meetings and banquets/partnership events)Coordinating with all arena departments and third parties to ensure a successful event.Produce accurate detailed event information, layouts, budgets, and estimates.Coordinate with city Fire Marshals for event permits.Receives and responds to booking inquiries, keeping our event management calendar current.Implement and maintain proper scheduling and supervision of contracted services for events.Manager on duty for assigned events with proper coverage during normal business hours.Embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and heard.Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests.Other duties as assigned.Exemplify the mission and values: transparent, all-in, community-obsessed, one-team, and scrappyCOMPETENCIES:

Must be at least 18 years of age.Two to three years of event management experience in a similar type of facility is preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Sports/Facility Management, hospitality, or business-related field preferred.Experience working in a computer network environment utilizing multiple Microsoft, Google Suite, and event management programs.Experience working with CAD Software is preferred.Ability to exercise sound judgment and make proper decisions in handling incidents at all types of events.Ability to plan, service, and supervise a variety of events with the assistance and cooperation of other staff members.Requires evening and weekend work (which could be in excess of 40 hours per week) and the ability to work long flexible hours, including evenings, and weekends. and holidays.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
