Overview

The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing documentation requirements of new and existing patients' insurance benefits verification to ensure accurate treatment estimates. Acts as secondary front desk; assisting with patient scheduling, reception, check-in, and check-out. This is a full-time hourly position, $20-$22 per hour.

Responsibilities

Liaise with insurance providers to elucidate patients' coverage and to resolve disputes about rejected claimsPrioritizes and processes incoming Insurance Verifications, Referrals, and Prior Authorization requestsVerifies member/patient eligibilityEnsures insurance carrier documentation requirements are metUnderstands and can explain dental and medical insurance plan benefits.Effectively communicate with others, including physician offices, insurance companies, patients, and others about insurance benefits and costs associated to procedures.Handles multiple assignments or pieces of work at one time.Assists with scheduling and checking in of patients.Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of dental/medical benefits and breakdowns a plus

Proficient computer skills
