is NOW HIRING Warehouse Associates in Fort Wayne, IN on DAY shift! All positions are
TEMPORARY
with a maximum of 90 days and the starting pay rate is $15.80+ per hour.

What You'll Do:
Obtains picking list or task group assignments from leadership, inputs order into production system, and gets cart.Pulls/verifies correct number of each item from shelves based on task assignment using paper and places books on cart.Scans order out of production when completed and pushes cart in the correct staging area.Removes product from boxes, verifies title and location, and places on shelves in an orderly mannerBreaks down boxes and packing materialsCheck for damages and verifies data on customer order including entry number and number of books while packing orderDetermine the proper packing method for various size orders to arrange books in the most compact manner onto corrugated cardboard boxes, t-boards, or flats according to allowable weights for method of shippingPush completed orders onto conveyor to continue through shrink wrap machineryReceive cartons down appropriate shipping line, create pallet label, scan, palletize cartons, build pallets correctly, hand wrap completed palletsLifts cartons on and off conveyor to palletize for carrier pickup Correct carton weight as neededUtilize portable scanning device to update and palletize cartonsPrint and attach additional shipping/customs documents as neededUse hand or motorized pallet jack to transport pallets to machine wrapperMachine wrap pallets, attach pallet labels, and stage for carrier pickupPerform ongoing cleanup and empty trash at end of shiftQualifications
Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift.Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 50 lbs. during the assigned shift - up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift.Ability to bend, kneel/squat, twist/turn, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.Additional Information
Various Schedules (depending on department)
Plus daily and/or weekend overtime when necessary.
