U.S. Pipe is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The Maintenance Planner performs all of the administrative duties required in the preparation and planning of routine repair jobs, major repair jobs and work orders so that they can be executed effectively. This consists of conducting field investigations, determining job detail and materials needed, estimating labor requirements, arranging for tools and materials, assignment to specific craftsmen, and coordinating equipment shutdowns and repairs with other plant activities. Occasionally, this position may cover activities (on an as needed basis) to supervise maintenance employees for the facility.

Specific Responsibilities:

Planning, estimating, and scheduling required maintenance activities by area. Purchase parts and supplies and gather tools and equipment required to complete open work orders. Process work orders, create weekly and daily schedules by area specific to assigned hourly employees. Develop and implement preventive maintenance equipment schedules. Generates reports to monitor maintenance execution, including but not limited to: open and completed work order reports, PM Completion %, MTBF, etc. Analyzes CMMS data to develop strategies to improve the cost effectiveness of ongoing maintenance services. Develops, refines and maintains active equipment lists / files by department. Maintains CMMS database and performs routine maintenance on system. Responsible for requesting new items to be stocked in the storeroom. Enforces the Company's plant and safety rules and policies and issues fair and consistent discipline. Receives, evaluates and responds to first-step grievances as required, consulting with the Maintenance Specialist as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Must have the ability to plan electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance work and to identify and repair electrical and mechanical maintenance problems and administrate corrective action is a plus. Must be self-directed and possess the ability to work with diverse groups of people in a team environment. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Good presentation and public speaking skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meeting all required deadlines. Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs. Good understanding of safety and the desire to follow all established procedures are required. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint software. Previous SAP and CMMS system experience is a plus. Associate or two year technical or trade school degree is desired, but High School diploma or GED is required. A minimum of two to four years of previous maintenance planning/scheduling experience is desired but must have at least seven years' work experience in mechanical and electrical industrial maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing, powerhouse, or construction environment. Previous work experience working in a union environment is a plus. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

The employee will be working in both an office and foundry environment and will be working throughout the plant exposing the employee to Foundry operations. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
