Job Description
Interior Designer - Hybrid Work/Architect Firm - Boston, MA Responsibilities:
Space Planning : Develop efficient layouts that optimize the use of space while considering functionality and aesthetics.Design Development : Create design concepts and develop them into detailed plans, including color schemes, materials, furnishings, and lighting.Client Consultation : Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints, translating their vision into design proposals.Material Selection : Research and select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the project's vision and budget.Drafting and Modeling : Use CAD software to produce detailed drawings and 3D models of interior spaces.Building Codes and Regulations : Ensure that designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and accessibility guidelines.Project Management : Oversee the execution of interior design projects, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and managing timelines and budgets.Site Visits : Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure that design specifications are being implemented correctly.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
