Job Summary
The Product Manager/Owner is responsible for defining and executing the vision and strategy for payment solutions, aligning them with organizational goals and the evolving landscape of digital payments and financial technology. This role emphasizes backlog management, payment domain expertise, and collaboration with compliance and security teams to ensure product quality and adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and maintain the product roadmap for payment solutions in line with organizational goals and market trends.
• Prioritize the product backlog based on customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business value.
• Ensure user stories are well-defined, actionable, and aligned with payment industry best practices.
• Leverage expertise in payment gateways, transaction processing, digital wallets, and emerging technologies to guide product decisions.
• Use customer feedback, market research, and performance analytics to continuously improve payment solutions.
• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to meet industry standards, including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and AML.
• Serve as the Scrum Product Owner, leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
• Understand and apply knowledge of international payments, currency exchange, and cross-border transaction regulations.
• Analyze and define business requirements and specifications for projects of limited complexity.
• Collaborate with IT to resolve matters and enhance business processes.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience with relevant experience in the payments domain.
• Proven experience with product vision, strategy, and roadmap management in the payments industry.
• Strong knowledge of payment gateways, transaction processing, and digital wallets.
• Experience working with compliance standards, including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and AML.
• Proficiency in Agile methodology, specifically as a Scrum Product Owner.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with international payments, currency exchange, and cross-border transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to define system scope and objectives effectively.
• Ability to interface with IT and business teams to enhance processes and resolve IT issues.
Certifications
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) (preferred)
• Certified Payment Professional (CPP) (preferred)
