The Production Operations Manager will ensure production forecasts are met and drive continuous improvement through the manufacturing process. They will provide hands-on support and direction to the operations team and ensure the quality and safety of the operation while driving continuous improvement of manufacturing. The ideal candidate strives to create a productive environment, encourages open communication and transparency, and fosters an exciting and fun collaborative environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance and repair of SolarEdge ATE test stations, fixtures, and production related equipmentResponsible for production, including daily production planning, delivery to plan, production costs, first pass yield, safety, quality targets, and production staffingManage a team of production supervisors while pushing metric goals and directing operations on the production floorSupport upgrades, new products, and material introductions by supporting design teams, creating process plans, tracking budget costs and project schedules, and developing countermeasures to ensure completion of project goalsDevelop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives. Provide feedback to management on issues; benchmark other organizations for best practices.Lead by example of positive reinforcement and support Solar Edge in its world-class manufacturing organization while working with cross-functional teams to meet business goalsResponsible for hiring, training, performance evaluations, incident reporting, and disciplinary actionsCreate and enforce training plans and processes for the production team membersEnsure team member safety by proactively identifying and correcting hazards, conducting regular training, and encouraging continuous improvement recommendations from the teamDrive high-quality standards in everything we do, such as process control systems, monitoring and managing key product metrics, consistency in documentation, and 5S initiativesAwareness of raw material availability and potential production constraints Constantly looking to correct inefficiencies and improve production processes RequirementsRequired Skills and Qualifications: BS degree in a scientific or technical field; OR AS with 5+ years equivalent manufacturing experience Proven 5+ years production team management experience; high-volume production experience preferredStrong leadership skillsMust be available to work between shifts and after hours as needed to attain business successExperience working with ERP systemsStrong sense of urgency and self-motivationAbility to work well both independently and in a team atmosphereExperience hiring and training new production associatesAbility to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the organization, both verbally and written 5S and/or lean manufacturing processes experience preferredAdvanced electrical safety knowledge and trainings preferredAbility to travel nationally and internationally up to 10%Fair Pay & a Just WorkplaceAt SolarEdge, we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation.
