Description
As a Firmware Engineer on our Digital Biomarkers Software team, you'll use your strong embedded architecture and programming skills to help us develop products that physically interface with human beings to help them live happier, healthier lives. Our team supports multiple Verily projects, so this role provides an opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of unique products such as our Numetric Watch, Hub, and Camera.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement embedded software, infrastructure, tools and tests for next-gen medical devices.Work closely with data science, UX, hardware, mobile, and cloud engineers to create highly integrated, novel products.Collaborate with teammates across the Medical Devices Software org to advance our development practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
BS or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, with 0-5 years of industry experience.Strong C/C++ programming skills, and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.In-depth understanding of coding tools and environments, compilers, and debugger toolsEmbedded firmware experience; eg. robotics, sensors, IoT, etc.Preferred Qualifications
Experience interfacing with hardware peripherals via interfaces such as UART, I2C, and SPI.Familiarity with wireless/RF communication standards (eg. WiFi, BLE)Experience with both bare-metal, RTOS and Linux development.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
