As this company is in the midst of rapidly expanding their operations, they are actively looking to bring on a Controller to oversee and manage the entire accounting function for one of their plant locations. This role will encompass critical responsibilities such as cost and budgeting, fixed assets, and accounts payable/receivable.By working closely with the VP, you will play an integral role in the company's ongoing success and growth, with a direct impact on decision-making. This position offers the unique opportunity to not only handle core accounting operations but to also influence strategic financial planning. It's a fantastic chance to step into a leadership role and be a key player in shaping the future of a rapidly growing business.Job DescriptionLead and manage the accounting operations for their Illinois plant location, including budgeting, inventory management, and cost accounting.Oversee accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), general accounting, and fixed asset processes for the plant.Manage a team of 4 direct reports, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with company policies.Collaborate cross-departmentally with other departments on key initiatives such as budget approvals and ROI analysis for specific projects.Maintain internal controls and perform audits to safeguard the division's assets and ensure compliance with procedures.Assist internal and external auditors during periodic audits of the plant's financial statements, records, and processes.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic goals.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
