Dairy Herd Management Systems Support Specialist

Responsibilities / TasksBecome expert in GEA FT's "Robotic Milking Concept" and "Good Cow Milking" techniques, with basic hygiene knowledge.Support and master Dairyplan, DairyNet suite, and CowScout herd management software, and understand competitors' software.Document and report requirements for new products, design changes, and software updates.Assist technical support team and conduct software updates as necessary.Provide comprehensive technical product training and support for internal employees, dealers, and customers, covering equipment, networking, and management software.Analyze pre-sale and pre-start-up herds, prepare dealers and customers for transition, and champion successful milking system startups. .Consult customers on herd management/performance, software-related issues, and conduct follow-up on farm visits and consultations with dealers and farmers.Monitor and assist with current test farm installations.Cooperate and communicate with sales personnel, keeping them informed of new projects and potential issues.Develop and deliver product-focused presentations to dealers and customers.Attend trade shows and industry meetings, actively participating in relevant industry organizations.Stay informed on trending topics in dairy management that impact equipment, software, and herd management practices.Maintain relationships with other dairy data organizations to facilitate software interfaces for customer operations and establish long-term partnerships.Your Profile / QualificationsPreferred: B.S. in agricultural, technical, or related field with 3+ years of experience, or 7-10 years' experience without degree.M.S. and other technical certifications are highly encouraged.Proficiency in Herd Management software and data management.Practical, on-site experience in production agricultural systems.Dairy management experience is highly encouraged, including nutrition, animal health, and milking.Proficiency in project layout, dairy farm operation, and project management.Ability to lead and collaborate within a team to achieve common goals.Flexibility and situational awareness to formulate quick action plans.Strong training, teaching, and technical presentation skills.Competence in network communication.Mechanical and electronic knowledge for system troubleshooting.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Working at GEA Group has significant benefits!11 Paid HolidaysPTO - Paid Time OffMedical PlansDental InsuranceVision InsuranceHealth Savings and Spending AccountsTuition Reimbursement401k with excellent employer matchWellness Incentive ProgramEmployee Assistance Program#EngineeringforthebetterDid we spark your interest?Then please click apply above to access our guided application process.
