As an AWS SLED Capture Manager and Proposal Writer, you will be a part of the Presidio Solution Support Team dedicated to support the SLED portfolio. The role is to be a professional information communicator whose tasks will involve researching and creating documents, capture technical support activities, AWS technical content creator (including creating win themes), respond to proposal and competitive bid requests, and describe them to our clients, through any medium that best facilitates the transfer and comprehension of the information. The Candidate is responsible for drafting and generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The Technical Writer will collaborate with the Proposal, SLED National Capture, SLED Sales, PreSales Solution Architects, Sales, partners, and Vendors; creating new content, taking provided content, and crafting it into a clear and concise document which will be shared with Presidio's customers and other members of various project teams. The Technical Writer may also research products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.Travel Requirements:
This position is remote and may require infrequent travel (10% or less of hours)Job Responsibilities:Contract Writing & Pursuits:
Plan, draft, shape, and deliver AWS proposal content in pursuit of SLED opportunities across the National Presidio SLED portfolio.Collaborate and coordinate with Presidio Stakeholders to create the Presidio AWS SLED story, value add proposition and template language for proposal and other uses (to be tailored for each RFP).Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for the greatest reader comprehension.Review and provide direct support in response to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and other competitive bids inclusive of AWS solutions and offerings.Create and curate response input to provide a clear and concise message around Presidio's capabilities and solutions based on the requirements shared in the RFPs.Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed, represented, and documented.Manage document review and approval process including updates & edits to existing documents.Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.Review and/or copy/edit content developed by other members of the team.
Strategic Marketing, Capture and Communications:
Help lead, track, plan, support and drive AWS contract capture wins (and utilization) across SLED.In coordination with contracts, capture and marketing, create and execute strategies to raise awareness of AWS and other digital contracts (both internally and externally) and drive demand for the company's contract portfolio and technology solutions within the SLED sector.In coordination with contracts, capture, sales and marketing, the candidate will participate in the development and management of content to promote and evangelize Presidio contracts, including communications, outreach, digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, and targeted customer or contract membership events.Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, industry partners, and internal teams.Create content to be included in Statements of Works that are clear, concise, and unambiguous.Work with a team to create templates and content for SOWs, Presentations, contracts, Proposals, and other sales-related documentation.
Required Skills:AWS knowledge and experienceExperience creating and/or reviewing IT-related documents such as Proposals, Statement of Works and/or contracts in an IT Services industryExperience creating and executing strategic marketing and communicationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.5 years of IT industry experience (Tech background)3 + years of relevant direct experience is required (Cloud and/or AWS experience is required)
