The Opportunity
This position works out of our
Lake Forest, IL (or Willis Tower Downtown Chicago, IL)
location in the Molecular Diagnostics at Abbott.
Abbott Molecular is a leader in molecular diagnostics and the analysis of DNA, RNA, and proteins at the molecular level.
What You’ll Work On
Manage, plan, and implement branding and communications projectsin advertising, promotional programs, trade shows, digital, and mobile communications.
Develop product promotion plansin collaboration with product marketing and global market development teams.
Plan, create, and producemarketing, advertising, sales promotions, and digital tools to support brand strategies and marketing objectives.
Act as a brand champion, ensuring all communications are consistent and accurately support the brand strategy.
Coordinate and support branding and marketing efforts globallyas the central hub within the marketing organization
Partner with product management to:
Develop communication objectives and strategies
Determine and manage the project budget and production schedule
Manage the development of marketing and sales/promotional materials to effectively promote and sell products
Recommend and execute promotion plans
Provide channel strategy expertise to teams and recommend the most effective ways to deploy assets and materials to achieve marketing objectives
Track and manage material effectiveness to modify and improve promotion development
Plan and organize project assignments of substantial variety and complexity
Initiate and manage schedules for projects and project milestones
Establish priorities for individual or project assignments
Select methods and techniques to lead projects to completion
Create an annual communication plan and budget:
Deliver all projects and campaigns on time and within budget.
Manage vendor agreements and work deliverables to meet defined business objectives
Brand and Compliance
Champion the Abbott brand in all materials, ensuring alignment with corporate brand standards
Support all company initiatives as identified by management, including:
Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
Other regulatory requirements
Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) Related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 7 years
related
work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare and med device industries preferred.
Proven track record of delivering measurable, successful multi-channel, sales-enabling campaigns.
Strong knowledge and experience with SEO, SEM and social media best practices preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, company policies
Project management skills a must; managing work demands effectively and thriving in a fast paced, geographically diverse business environment.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. (Comment Anke: recommendation to remove from “preferred”, This position might not require leading staff)
Cross Functional B2B environment experience
Travel expected 10% and/or as necessary
This role is on site and is not remote nor hybrid. Relocation is not provided for this role currently.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
