Kwik Trip's Production Operations quality assurance department provides support to our Production facilities: Bakery, Bread & Bun, Dairy, and Kitchens. We are currently looking for an intern who will assist the quality assurance managers in the production facilities who work with Kwik Trip's Production Food Safety and Quality teams to support manufacturing, finished product quality and regulatory requirements. This internship is located on-site in La Crosse, WI. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs validation tasks associated with department food safety processes and procedures. Verify compliance to QA programs such as SSOP's, HACCP, GMP's, Specification Verification, Allergen Control, Traceability, Packaging, Vendor Compliance, etc. Gain knowledge the food safety related activities of the business through special projects, hands on tasks and direct coaching and mentoring by fellow co-workers at the Kwik Trip production facilities in La Crosse, WI. The Quality Assurance & Food Safety intern will work primarily on the production floor and in the QA Lab Other project work as assigned. Qualifications: Student in 4-year degree program with emphasis in food science, biology, or other relevant field of study Strong interest in food safety Ability to perform data analysis High attention to detail Critical thinking skills Strong interpersonal & communication skills, enthusiasm, and professionalism Proficient in M.S. Office Products This is a paid internship. The internship will be a minimum of 6 months in length. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Number of hours may vary with work load, but interested students must be willing to work up to 20 hours per week during the school semesters and potentially up to 40 hours during school breaks.
