Overview
We are looking for a Designer with 8+ years of experience in DOT and/or municipal roadway projects. This position will support project teams and manage CAD standards using Bentley based software packages.
Responsibilities
Support various project teams' utilization of Bentley engineering software from 3D modeling into design and production
Create CAD Workspaces for Bentley OpenRoads Designer using ProjectWise
Implementing CAD standards, and familiarity of workspaces related to TxDOT and municipal clients
Mentor and train CAD team partners utilizing best practices for Bentley software products
Assist in maintaining CAD standards for OpenRoads Designer and PowerGeopak users
Support partners with troubleshooting
Recommend tools to improve work efficiency
Coordinate with IT to solve project related problems
Qualifications
8 years + of experience in civil engineering design production with experience working on large-scale roadway projects
Experience with setting up workspace content, troubleshooting CAD issues, and training CAD users
Associate degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or similar
Expertise with Bentley design programs
Experience supporting and mentoring technical staff
Experience with the implementation of TxDOT CAD standards
Effective communication skills
