Senior Capture Manager.
This is a full-time hybrid position in McLean, VA with occasional travel expected outside of the DMV area.Roles & Responsibilities:Develop and implement Shipley capture strategies to secure new federal government opportunitiesLead capture efforts throughout the entire lifecycle, including opportunity identification, strategy development, proposal development, and client engagement that matures P-WINWork closely with Business Development teams to align on strategic goals and objectives; identify new sales opportunities to pursueIdentify and define win themes, discriminators, and assist in developing bid strategiesCoordinate with technical teams and subject matter experts to create compelling proposals that meet client needsMaintain and manage relationships with key stakeholders within target agencies, potential partners, and vendorsConduct extensive market research to identify trends and competitive landscape within the federal spaceCreate and maintain Agency Account PlansPrepare and deliver executive presentations and executive briefs to senior leadership and clientsManage capture timelines and resources to ensure successful bid submissionsStay abreast of OMB mandates, technology trends, and other IT hot topicsAttend key conferences, events, meetings, trainings, and other strategic events as neededAdditional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:8+ years’ experience holding fulltime positions in a capture manager role; as Capture Manager, Account Executive, or similar roles; pursuing federal government opportunities8+ years’ experience following Shipley lifecycle best practice processes in the business development, capture management, and proposal management areas; APMP certification a plus8+ years of experience leading capture efforts for federal government opportunities that resulted in Wins8+ years of experience contributing to proposal content areasBachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field, desiredAgency knowledge and active relationships in any of these agencies required: DOL, IRS, DOC NOAA, FDA, Department of Transportation, HHS, DOD, USDAProven track record of winning federal contracts and establishing strong client relationshipsStrong understanding of federal acquisition processes and regulations, including FAR and DFARSAbility to develop and communicate effective capture strategies, win themes, and discriminatorsDemonstrated skills in managing cross-functional teams and leading solution development efforts that mature capture P-WINExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, federal clients, partners, vendors, and staffAI experience a plusFamiliarity with CRM tools and capture management softwareAbility to maintain and create detailed documentation leveraging the Microsoft tool suiteStrong analytical and research skills required, and attention to detailProactive, resourceful, and able to work independentlyAstor & Sanders Corporation ( www.astor-sanders.com ) offers a unique, stimulating and challenging environment that fosters individual growth and rewards performance.
