The University of California, Irvine (UCI), in partnership with Grant Cooper, announces a national search for the Chief of the Division of Basic and Clinical Immunology. The academic appointment may be at Full Professor Rank in the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X series or In Resident Series, depending on experience and extent of research effort. HS, In Resident and Clinical X faculty provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; perform public and University service; and contribute to scholarly activities, but Clinical X and In Resident faculties are expected to conduct more substantial research. An academic appointment in the Clinical X and In Resident series confers membership in the UCI Academic Senate.The Division Chief is responsible for the effective management of all administrative and operational processes of the division in support of its research, educational, and clinical missions.Qualifications
Basic qualifications
(required at time of application)An MD, MD/PhD degree (or equivalent).Fellowship training in immunology and board certification by the ABAI.Be eligible for, or currently hold, a medical license in the state of California.Strong record of scholarly activity, evidenced by high quality peer-reviewed publications and a record of research and research support.Application Requirements
