The Tax Technology Manager position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated professional with a diverse skill set. The core fundamental requirement involves a broad knowledge of tax processes, system architecture/operating procedures, testing protocols, implementation standards, monitoring and reporting.
What you'll do…
The Tax Technology Manager position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated professional with a diverse skill set. The core fundamental requirement involves a broad knowledge of tax processes, system architecture/operating procedures, testing protocols, implementation standards, monitoring and reporting. In addition, knowledge of Company information security policies, tax applications, and technology trends is desirable. This position is an integral component needed to continuously develop and maintain the integration of the global Tax Office structure relating to technology, process, data, and controls. In addition, strong communication skills are required to assist with interacting with vendors, coordinating with Ford internal IT, working closely with all global Tax Office functional groups, assisting with tax technology strategy, and general IT related functions.
Optimize the tools and applications utilized by the Tax Office to provide the highest levels of value, efficiency, and work product quality
Support technology plan to integrate tax technology tools across all functions within the Tax Office on a global basis
Significantly assist with the build and development of a global tax technology team to ensure tax technology operations, objectives and vision will be supported in future years
Work closely with the tax leadership team to maintain a global roadmap of vendor solutions and other internal tax tools
Develop a training forum for all applications and tools on an ongoing basis
Serve as the single source data coordinator with all related tax functions
Ensure that OTC technology tools are in compliance with Company control requirements
Assist in the implementation of agreed upon process and technology change
Manage and/or enable functional data integration across the global Tax Office
Provide operational analysis and design support for global tax operations including technology automation, design, and implementation
Manage upcoming releases to determine impact on users, necessary communication/training, and testing
Monitor system issues log with IT to ensure timely resolution of items, escalate as necessary
Help centralize data requests and utilization of requested information
You'll have…
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or information technology
8+ years of experience working with tax technology/tax systems including Vertex, OneSource or other tax engine systems
Understanding of ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle), Ford legacy transactional systems and the impact on tax reporting and the general ledger
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Alteryx and experience with data management and collaboration tools
Understanding of testing protocols including creation of scripts, test execution, and defect resolution
Experience with Ford architecture processes (SFTP, Informatica, etc.)
Experience with Tax Technology
