GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under direction from the Radiation Oncology Manager, supervises the daily activities of the support staff in the department of Radiation Oncology.
Hires, schedules, evaluates and provides direction to the support staff.
Develops and implements clinical policies and procedures.
Participates in departmental Quality Assurance activities to ensure continued high clinical standards.
Spends 80% of time on supervisory responsibilities and 20% of time working clinically.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree required. (There is no additional curriculum in a BSRT program.)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least three (3) years clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist.
Excellent organizational skills.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
A.R.R.T. registered in Radiation Therapy Technology Certification required.
