EMI/EMC Electrical Test EngineerFull-time salaried positionFarmington, CT (Hybrid role: Tue/Wed/Thurs in office)*No work sponsorship available for this role* Base salary range: $110,000 - 140,000 annually Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision coverage, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays, Health Savings AccountResponsibilities •The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent technical, analytical and technical writing skills, •Comfortable communicating with internal customers and team-members •Must be self-motivated and possess good interpersonal/team skills. •Experience with generating EMI, EMC, Lightning and ENV test procedures •Writing technical reports, and working with multiple types of lab equipment including meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, amplifiers, antennas, injection cores, and data acquisition systems are all required skills. •The candidate may work with various engineers and managers across multiple disciplines, including Systems, Electrical Design, Project and Program Office. •The candidate will be required to perform multiple tests independently, either onsite or offsite. Qualifications •Minimum of a Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering. •3+ years of relevant EMI, EMC, Lightning and ENV test and documentation experience. Prior aerospace/automotive industry experience preferred. Associates Degree may be considered with 5+ years industry experience •Familiarity with the above-mentioned equipment •Excellent written and verbal skills. •Willing to Travel, with possible overnight stays at offsite test locations. •Able to generate EMI Control Plans •Able to generate EMI, EMC, Lightning Test Procedures •Familiar with most EMI/EMC/Lightning Test Equipment •Able to generate reports •Able to present data to internal and external customers Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: EMI, EMC, Lightning Standards in RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461 ENV Standards in RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD 810 Tile programs (customized scripts), VB, Python or LabVIEW automated testing Documentation Tools (MS Word/PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, Nuance) About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
