Job Details Guide and support nursing supervisors and staff, help with decision-making, conflict resolution, and professional development. Foster a positive work environment and addressing any personnel issues. Ensure adequate staff coverage is crucial. Manage scheduling, coordinate shift assignments, and work to address any staffing shortages, maintaining a balance between workload and staff availability. Oversee patient care quality standards and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. This may include evaluating patient outcomes, conducting performance reviews, and implementing best practices. Responsible for onboarding new staff, offering continuing education, and creating opportunities for professional growth among their team. Maintain a high standard of care and improves staff retention. Handle budgeting, allocate resources, and manage expenses to ensure the department runs efficiently without compromising patient care quality. Involved in developing and implementing policies to improve patient care and workplace safety. They also make sure that staff are well-informed and compliant with these policies. Act as a bridge between upper management and nursing staff, communicate goals, updates, and feedback both ways, ensuring alignment across all levels. Baccalaureate Degree in nursing, Master’s Degree preferred. Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State. Two to five years recent clinical experience. Demonstrate leadership abilities; able to work under stressful situations; and possesses good oral and written communication skills. Does not pose a threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others. Physical requirements: ability to stand for extended periods of time, ability to lift or move patients in the course of administering nursing care. ACLS, BLS required. Salary Range USD $110,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
