We are dedicated to delivering high-quality projects that exceed client expectations and positively impact the community.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a General Superintendent at JB Pacific in San Diego, CA. The General Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing subcontractors, and providing support to all project teams ensuring project timelines are met, while maintaining a safe work environment. The General Superintendent reports to the VP of Operations and President. They shall take ownership of field staff and support safety oversight and quality control.ResponsibilitiesProject team developmentConstructability reviewsDevelop construction schedules in PreconstructionReview schedules during construction with project teamsProcurement planning guidancePre-Task planning guidanceQuality assurance and developmentDaily reporting oversightRisk ManagementSite Safety Plan development and implementationSite inspections and material verificationSite logistics developmentAs-Built documentationImplement and oversee company training and mentoring for field personnel including superintendents, foreman, laborers, and safety coordinators.QualificationsConstruction Management, Project Management, and Site SupervisionKnowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety protocolsExperience in managing subcontractors and construction teams20 or more years of professional experience in this fieldStrong communication and leadership skillsProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesOSHA certification and relevant construction certifications are a plusCandidate shall possess strong construction knowledge and have a background in both ground-up and tenant improvement projects. Candidate shall have prior experience leading successful project teams and coordinating with self-performing staff. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good written and oral communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Candidate shall have prior experience managing projects in the $50M - $150M project size.
