OverviewThe Staffing Coordinator is responsible for daily staffing based on patient needs. Works with the Director of Nursing to achieve coverage as determined by census and patient needs. Functions as a focal point of communications, coordinates clerical activities, manages financial records and daily charges, and acts as liaison with the business office of the hospital. Also performs clerical duties as needed for the administrative team. The

Staffing Scheduler/ Coordinator

will perform a variety of duties involving coordination of staffing coverage for the psychiatric facility. The Staffing Scheduler/Coordinator utilizes and maintains staffing scheduling software/programs to schedule shifts, monitor staffing levels, and input related data. The Staffing Coordinator may also:

Update and manage master schedules.

Adjust as needed due to census changes, callouts, and pre-planned time off requests.

Review and process requests for paid time off (PTO).

Communicate and fill staff vacancies to ensure daily adequate coverage.

Communicate with unit supervisors regarding staff movement.

Reconcile bi-weekly time clock punch records.

Assist with keeping accurate time and attendance records.

Assist with routine clerical and administrative duties related to the day-to-day operations.

Salary Ranges:

$48,204.00 Minimum annually to $58,916.00 Maximum annually

Requirements/Qualifications

Proficiency in interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

(2) years administrative experience.

Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display excellent oral/written communication skills.

Previous adult behavioral health experience is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
