Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Vice President, coordinates, supervises, and manages the operations of the assigned medical office site. Interacts with patients, physicians, support staff, nurses and other clinicians to facilitate cost-effective and timely patient care. Resolves non-clinical issues to ensure optimal patient satisfaction. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Directly supervises clerical and support staff, nurses, and other clinical staff at the assigned site.

This is a full-time 40 hour/ week position
Responsibilities:
Ensure efficient and effective patient flow, as well as a high level of customer service at all times with a focus on patient satisfaction
Facilitate and coordinate quality patient care, which may include direct contact with patients, families and other departments.
Develop, implement and maintain proper scheduling and staffing levels at all times.
Supervision of all positions within assigned unit with exception of only physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
Supervise direct reports in compliance with current employment laws and within the guidelines of company policy.
Investigate and resolve administrative and/or patient problems professionally and diplomatically.
Conduct interviews (in compliance current employment law and within company guidelines and policy), provide and/or coordinate training of new employees.
Coordinate educational activities and evaluation of performance related to patient care for students assigned to unit.
Provide all direct reports with regular feedback, both positive and constructive, and work with Practice manager to complete annual performance evaluations.
Ensure proper communication flow through the daily huddles within their unit.
Monitor and maintain the Lean Basic Scorecard within the office
Promote the use of suggestion and problem sheets within the team.
Monitor, audit and maintain records with respect to time sheets, absentee and vacation records for all direct reports.
Monitor condition, safety and effectiveness of the physical environment and initiate corrective action when necessary.
Perform other duties as required.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDE/EXPERIENCE:
Ability to interact with management and staff
Ability to work alone set priorities, problem solve, etc.
Previous medical background/work experience required
Adheres to company policies and procedures to include personnel policies, safety policies and clinical policies and procedures
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in health-related field desirable
Experience: Minimum of three to five years of medical office experience required. Previous management experience required. Medical terminology required.
