Primary Function
The Sr Financial - IT Accounting and Analysis will perform a variety of complex activities in the preparation, examination, and interpretation of accounting and financial records, reports, and statements.
The incumbent will be involved with developing and managing the BTS annual planning process, owning the overall operating expense, business unit /Corporate allocations, and capital plan creation as well as managing the general ledger/monthly spend analysis, and other financial follow-up and analyses compliant with all Company and GAAP policies.
Responsibilities
Review all capital requests ensuring they are correct, in plan, and complete, and facilitate approval with the Capital approval team
Review all multiyear subscription renewals ensuring they are correct, in plan, and complete, and facilitate approval with the Capital approval team
Create and manage the subscription and capital submission calendars to ensure BTS owners are starting the review and approval processes with sufficient time for all steps
Coordinate with the property accounting team and BTS to close and capitalize projects on schedule
Prepare year-end schedules and coordinate with corporate accounting on consolidation specifically around accruals and capital carry-over
Monitor and review key department metrics on a monthly, quarterly and total year basis
Review month end financial results including coordination with Group Accounting for any corrections/adjustments, prepare month end financial reports including cost center budget reports, expense reconciliations, capital activity summary, and the PowerPoint financial presentation for BTS management
Prepare monthly expense forecasts for all BTS cost centers including review with appropriate account stakeholders, preparing and loading the forecast data into BPC, preparation of expense reconciliations
Coordinate the preparation of the annual financial plan including review of data prepared by others such as the capital and subscription data mentioned above, calculation of software amortization and depreciation based on planned capital spending, loading plan data into BPC, preparation and review of plan financial reports, assisting in preparation of presentations for BTS and corporate management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of accounting and analysis experience
Ability to read and interpret documents and data related to IT projects and Processes
Strong communication skills both orally and written
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and accounting /analysis software (BPC)
SAP ERP experience preferred but not required
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and documents
Education
Baccalaureate in Finance or Related Field
