Job Summary/Objective:

This position will support the Vice President, Commercial Operations by providing analytical and operational support such as: payer, channel and physician prescription analytics, identification of pull through opportunities and barriers, pre and post contract analytics, channel analytics, management of third-party rebate invoices, partnering with marketing on market access tools and resources, partnering with finance on invoice review/approvals and other analytics as needed. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, analytical individual with a strong technical background who can articulate and display reports. Strong interpersonal skills are required to work in a cross functional capacity. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing market access and sales strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability. The Director of Access, Contract & Pricing will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products and services are priced competitively and that our contracts are structured to meet the needs of our organization.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and implement market access and sales strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products and services are accessible and priced competitively.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and vendors and manage all rebates processes.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth utilizing multiple data sources.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and Gross-to-Net strategies.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of acumen and build network to monitor the evergreen government and regulatory requirements of our industry.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for Executive Leadership Team, Market Access Teams and Sales Teams.
  • Strong understanding and proficiency of Pharmaceutical Pricing and Contract dynamics that includes but is not limited to Medicaid Statutory and Supplemental rebates, Medicare GAP statutory rebates, Government Pricing reporting requirements, 340b pricing/chargebacks, FSS pricing/chargebacks, Best Price Calculations, Commercial and Part-D Payer Contracts and Rebates.
  • Development and tracking of core analytics (e.g. Neurelis products, competitor(s) and therapeutic market basket products & payer segment trends; financial models, analytical spreadsheets, pricing assessments).
  • Develop materials to display analytics via PowerPoint to present to cross-functional and leadership teams.
  • Organize key project administration documents including statement of work documents, purchase orders, project plans, invoices, etc.
  • Analyze and maintain channel utilization trends for cross-functional oversight.
  • Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
  • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
  • Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and when appropriate lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
  • May directly produce data sets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
  • Proofread and edit proposals and final deliverables as needed.

Office Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Spends approximately 90% of work time sitting and meeting with others or working at a desk and/or computer. Spends approximately 10% of work time standing or walking within the work area or at meetings and bends, twists, stoops and reaches. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. The noise level is usually moderate.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 10%.

Requirements:

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry with market access, managed care, and/or pricing & contracting experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Advanced data analytics utilizing a variety of tools and resources (IQVIA, Symphony Health, Claims Data).
  • Thorough understanding of the US Market Access landscape across all payer channels and treatment settings.
  • Advanced analytic skills using tools like Microsoft Excel or other similar analytic tools.
  • Advanced presentation skills in small and large groups utilizing various mediums.
