Our client is a LED lighting manufacturer for commercial/residential lighting applications who is seeking a LED lighting industry operations professional to assume the role of:
Director of Operations – US citizens or Green card holders only
We are looking for an experienced manufacturing/operations leader to join the executive team to take the company to a new level. The responsibilities of the position are as followed:
- Manage the operations team including IT, supply chain, product engineering, customer service.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, support top and bottom line growth of the company and quality control functions based in Los Angeles.
- Manage global suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.
- Build effective internal processes and KPIs to ensure on-time delivery and monitor lead time/cost reduction.
- Identify competitive strategies and evaluate, adjust or redraft the organization’s supply chain programs accordingly ensuring thorough communication of imperatives and action items to the team.
- Responsible for operations and managing best practices with a strong emphasis on production efficiencies and asset utilization; ensure the development of systems and procedures for operating and managing contract manufacturers, human resources, equipment and products in a profitable manner.
- Forecast demand and establish a just-in-time inventory approach that increases efficiency and reduces inventory costs.
- Assist in establishing customer service standards for all accounts, communicating these standards to all personnel.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of business or business/engineering/science or higher degree.
- The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in the electrical and/or lighting industry.
