Nursing Assistant Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a long-term care facility. This includes assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, daily activities, and other basic nursing tasks. The CNA works under the direction of licensed nursing staff and ensures that the care provided meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and dignity for all residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, and toileting.* Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, walking assistance, and repositioning in bed.* Nutrition and Hydration: Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and ensuring residents are hydrated. Report any changes in dietary needs or concerns to nursing staff.* Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight. Report any abnormalities to the nursing team.* Documentation: Accurately document care provided, changes in residents' conditions, and any relevant observations in the medical record.* Resident Comfort: Ensure residents are comfortable, clean, and well-cared-for at all times. Respond to resident call lights promptly.* Safety and Infection Control: Follow infection control procedures, including hand hygiene and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure a safe environment for residents by adhering to facility policies and protocols.* Behavioral and Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. Assist with social activities and encourage socialization to promote mental and emotional well-being.* Assistance with Health Monitoring: Assist with basic health assessments such as skin assessments, changes in condition, and mobility concerns.* Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for each resident.* Other duties as assigned: Support the nursing team in various tasks as required to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Duration: 13 weeks
Shifts available: Block schedule 12hr days or nights
_Blocked days are Sun-Tues, Wed-Fri, or Fri-Sun_
Rotating weekends
Pay Breakdown:
$28/hr (blended)
$12/hr (taxed)
$16/hr (stipend)
$1,008 weekly gross based on 36 hours
Qualifications:* Certification: Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Nevada, with current and valid licensure.* Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.* Must have 1+ years of CNA experience, especially long-term care or assisted living, preferred.
