*Active RN license required. Management of dysrhythmias, O2 Protocol Management, Non-invasive airway management, Peripheral line care/management, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Traumatic Brain injury,
ortho trauma, surgucal drains, chest tubes- Emerson/Pleuravac, Nasal Cannula,
Oral Suctioning, Tracheostomy Management,
Wound care. *Epic documentation experience required.Certs: BLS
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:ACLS, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Management of drips, CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries
JOB DETAILS:Target Ratios: 1:6-7 (Must be comfortable with these ratios)Shift: 12HR NIGHTS. 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours. Contract Length: Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!
**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
RTO: 7 days MAXFloat Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holdingWeekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekendHoliday Requirement: Must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES:Severe injury to the bones, joints, and/or soft tissue. Traumatic brain injuries. Spine injuries, pain. Neurological trauma/nerve damage (small population). Subdural hematoma.
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication):Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
UNIT ORIENTATION:12 hour unit orientation. 16 hour organizational education.
