The company

A highly reputable general contractor is looking to recruit a Commissioning Manager to work on a hyperscale data center project in Arizona. The successful candidate will join their expanding mission critical team.

The position

The Commissioning Manager will be skilled and experienced with overseeing the commissioning process for large scale data center projects. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all systems and components are installed, tested, and operational according to project specifications and standards. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for construction projects with commissioning agents, user groups, subcontractors, and construction team members
• Manage the commissioning process for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, building controls and other critical systems
• Coordinate with design and construction teams to review project requirements and ensure that commissioning activities are integrated into the master project schedule
• Solution-oriented troubleshooting
• Manage pre-functional and functional testing of equipment and systems to verify proper installation and functionality
• Manage documentation of commissioning activities, test results, and equipment certifications

Could this role be for you?

• Multiple years of experience in commissioning management specifically on hyperscale data center projects
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and building controls systems
• Strong understanding of industry standards and guidelines related to construction and commissioning
• Experience with commissioning tools, equipment, and software applications
• Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills
