PostgreSQL Database Engineer /REMOTE

· Manage and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases for performance and efficiency.

· Creating Hasura API’s to be used as the DAL.

· GIT Experience including GIT Actions/Automation

· Implement and maintain cloud-based database solutions, primarily on AWS.

· Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and functions.

· Ensure database security

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database technology within our infrastructure.

· Provide technical support and guidance on database design and architecture.

*Qualifications:*

· Minimum of *10 years of experience as a Database Engineer or a similar role.*

· *Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server.*

· Proven experience with *AWS cloud services related to database management.*

· *In-depth understanding of SQL and database programming.*

· *Experience with GIT automation.*

· *Experience using Hasura and creating API’s.*

· *Experience with database design, tuning, and performance optimization.*

· Familiarity with data security, backup, and recovery methods.

· Prefer the *candidates have PostgreSQL experience and AWS Aurora *preferred. SQL Server is a nice to have.

· If the candidate is strong enough on Postgres, organization, teamwork, the team can teach a good candidate Hasura.

· Other areas of expertise would be *Data Warehouse and Data Lake for reporting and experience with Migrations from on Prem to AWS.*

· AWS ETL tools are also a great to have but not required.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

*Preferred Skills:*

· *Certifications in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or AWS.*

· Experience with other database technologies and NoSQL databases.

· ETL Experience in AWS.

· *Data Migration from on-prem databases to AWS.*

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
