Position Summary:This position will be a part of a highly collaborative, driven PMO that works closely together to tackle everything from support to long term infrastructure and cyber security strategy planning. The Project Manager oversees large scale technical projects and handles the operations. This position offers the opportunity to participate in technology strategy for the entire enterprise. This position will be managing individual projects and Graton Resort & Casino’s vendors that assist with project management. The IT PMO utilizes a hybrid methodology with heavy use of predictive planning to execute operational objectives.
Essential Functions:Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.Manage the full life-cycle for technical operations projects, including eliciting scope and requirements from key stakeholders, developing and maintaining project artifacts, and facilitating communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Managing the team of project managers and vendors that operate in a project management capacity, particularly focused on time and cost of contractors/vendors assisting with Graton Project Management.Serve as a key enabler of project management strategy from a perspective where quality and stability are the most important, including identifying and managing project related risks and dependencies.Work with the business on vetting and planning the IT project pipeline. Support the business stakeholders in achieving project goals.Track project timelines and key milestones across all projects to be for IT resource planning necessary to meet project goals.Responsible for executing the project planning process with the internal/external project team and vendors to plan system upgrades, new system implementations, and cyber security initiatives. Incorporate critical project planning aspects, such as Help Desk Support, Disaster Recovery, Cyber Security, Training (IT and Business), and Stakeholder involvement from project inception.Participate in the design and implementation of IT project processes in order to meet Graton Resort & Casino’s demanding project pipeline.Conduct regular audits of each project to validate scope, schedule to manage scope creep etc., and do a deep dive into each project’s financial standing.Investigate and plan business solutions, technologies, and opportunities that can benefit the organization and/or their area of responsibility.Create, maintain and organize technical documentation for all property information systems.Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.Five (5) years of experience with Information Systems.Strong foundation in leadership. Minimum five (5) years’ experience managing or supervising other individuals.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT project management with large scale implementations. PMO and portfolio management experience preferred.Experience with leading and mentoring technical teams. A proven track record of building and fostering the continual growth of highly successful technical teams.Experience with all aspects of the project management lifecycle.Deep knowledge of project management and collaboration tools.PMP certification from PMI is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification. Strong understanding of and experience with predictive methodology is required.Experience with relevant PC software applications such as Microsoft O/S and MS-Office, Visio, and project management tools.Ability to work well in a highly team driven environment.Ability to perform well under pressure.
