Mechanical Estimator

The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for take-off and estimating Interior Process Piping and related Process Equipment costs, particularly with an emphasis on water and waste-water projects. This individual will be familiar with creating competitive advantages for the organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.
Prepare detailed estimates using Trimble MEP and HCSS software.Evaluate costs for material, equipment & labor productivity for a wide range of projects throughout the US.Obtain scopes and pricing from manufacturers and subcontractors.Review project estimates and verify all Mechanical content with the Company team.Assist with producing proposal content (execution plans, baseline schedules, C&E’s, bid forms)Develop and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.Perform estimate information download and handoff to project operations staff.Follow and enforce company procedures and protocols.Maintain and update mechanical database definitions and values.Assist operations staff with cost controls as required.Coordinate vendor solicitations for the various mechanical disciplines.All other duties assigned.
Required Education and ExperienceBS Construction, Engineering, or related degree.At least 5 years’ relevant experience.Ability to utilize digital plan software(s).Proficient in using named estimating software(s) a plus.
