Position Summary:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in and lead the engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Design and construction activities, including project delivery methods such as traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-BuildDesigning HVAC and plumbing systems for primarily HyperScale and Colocation Data Center design associated with administrative and support spacesSupporting additional areas such as Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers/Air Compressors, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids StorageConducting Data Center airflow CFD modeling for interior and exterior spacesConducting energy audit/efficiency studies, code review/application, and sustainable design/LEED application of sustainable strategiesDeveloping engineering skills while working on challenging projects
Qualifications:HVAC DesignCFDData CentersMinimum 5 years experienceNFPA standardsComputer-generated HVAC cooling and heating loads and HVAC equipment sizingHVAC system energy modeling for energy codeGreen building initiatives such as LEED and Green GlobesTechnical submittal reviewing process and bid reviewing processLarge-scale water and air-cooled chiller plant design preferredInternational Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks, and SMACNA StandardsData Center airflow CFD modeling experience for internal and external evaluationsCadence Reality Data Center Design (Formerly 6Sigma Room)Certifications:Professional Engineering (PE) LicenseAP-certified professional experienced in obtaining LEED’s certification for industrial buildings.
