Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Pay Rate:
$48.93 - $73.40/hour on w2.Work Type:
Onsite – Decatur, AL 35602Duration:
10-month contract (with possible extension)
Key Responsibilities:Team Coordination: Leads and reviews the work of a small team, making technical work assignments and monitoring project progress to meet specified deadlines.Project Management: Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs day-to-day technical aspects of large engineering projects or multiple smaller projects with complex features.Technical Contributions: Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles across various assignments and projects.Independently makes engineering judgments and decisions on design problems and methods.Collaboration and Communication: As the primary contact for project-related technical inquiries and project planning.Provides input to the Engineering Manager on work progress, technical issues, and workplace matters.Represents the team in meetings to plan, schedule, and coordinate project tasks, resolve technical issues, and report progress or challenges.Engineering Duties: Performs senior-level engineering work as required, in addition to leading responsibilities, and actively engages in engineering assignments to support team objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program, along with appropriate continuing education.Extensive experience in electrical and I&C engineering design, with project work reflective of a plant environment.
