Overview:The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in coordinating and implementing data governance practices within the Investment Management business teams. This role ensures compliance with data policies and promotes reliable, trusted data access by enabling and supporting data governance initiatives, including the Data Stewardship Operating Model and Data Quality processes.
Key Contributions:Support Data as an Asset:
Contribute to the vision of treating data as a key asset by being an essential member of the Data Governance team.Policy Adherence:
Assist in enforcing Data Governance policies across the organization.Data Stewardship Implementation:
Help establish and operationalize the data stewardship model, providing training and ongoing support as needed.Promote Data Governance:
Actively advocate for data governance and data quality, encouraging employees to understand the shared responsibility of maintaining clean and governed data.Data Management Tools:
Support data stewards by creating and managing a business glossary and metadata repository within Data Governance tools (e.g., Collibra), enhancing data accessibility and context.Data Quality Standards:
Define, enhance, and ensure compliance with data quality standards and business rules using Collibra and other related tools.Issue Management:
Lead hands-on efforts to create a centralized process for capturing, prioritizing, and managing data quality issues, including data profiling, rule-making, workflows, and remediation efforts.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with stakeholders to develop policies and procedures that enforce reliable processes, reduce variability, increase efficiency, and enhance data quality and compliance.Project Management:
Manage data governance initiatives from inception through completion, gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable Data Solutions Specifications.Critical Data Elements:
Help identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) where relevant.Change Management:
Participate in change management activities to address data quality and process issues.Additional Duties:
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:Experience:
5–7 years in financial services, with experience in IT, Operations, and Data Governance.Organizational Skills:
Strong ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within established timelines.Independent and Collaborative Work:
Able to work independently on tasks and collaborate effectively with others to develop high-quality solutions.Relationship Building:
Proven ability to establish and maintain solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.Stakeholder Engagement:
Experience in educating and influencing stakeholders about program goals, objectives, and methodologies.Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity and hands-on experience with data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra) and data quality tools for profiling and cleaning data.Software Skills:
Proficient in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Data Governance tools such as Collibra.
