Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Field Service Technician (working REMOTE, preferably based in the Raleigh/Durham area) covering their SouthEast territory (NC, SC, FL and TX.)
The role will handle maintenance and installation of large, complex systems in heavy-duty industrial settings, requiring a higher level of technical expertise and often dealing with hazardous materials. HVAC or refrigeration experience is highly preferred and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!
HIGH TRAVEL - 90%, overnight, from home to job sites within the SE territory. Company vehicle is provided.
This company is specifically seeking candidates with U.S. military experience *
Compensation: $27.00-30.00/hr (DOE) + company vehicle
What You Will DoMaintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and service of refrigeration systems. Perform scheduled and contract industrial ammonia refrigeration system maintenance at client facilities.Assist with system/equipment installations and equipment start-up / commissioning at facilities.Work closely with RD&S service coordinators and sales staff to develop long-term client relationships.Prepare recommendations for client facility service / equipment replacement based on service visit.Must provide your own basic hand tools (adjustable wrenches, screw drivers, etc.)
Education and Work Experience:Must be authorized to work in U.S.At least 4 years U.S. Military experience.Strong Electrical and Mechanical skills required.Certifications Required: EPA, OSHA 10, ammonia awareness, HAZWOPER, and equipment operation (lull, scissor lift, forklift).Background in industrial and heavy-duty refrigeration systems (experience with ammonia and Freon in large production environment preferred.)STRONG client interfacing skills.
