Warehouse Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:This position supervises all aspects of warehousing to ensure a cost effective, efficient, and safe operation. Ensures that received/sold goods are verified against bills of lading, purchase orders, invoices and other documents and that they are properly stored and/or shipped in a timely manner. Ensures all outbound deliveries leave on time and are delivered in full. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for inventory control, issuing materials as needed (FIFO), and conducting regular audits of orders shipping, to verity accuracy.

Key deliverables include:Ensure employee safety and adherence to company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity.Maintain composure under stress.Ensure proper stock rotation.Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all documents.Communicate effectively and respond to internal customer needs.Deliver supplies and equipment to departments and utilize WMS.Supervise personnel by coaching, managing attendance, issuing corrective actions, and allocating tasks.Train and develop team members according to company policies and procedures.Operate Material Handling Equipment safely and ensure equipment maintenance.Ensure team members receive Quality & Food Safety training and maintain overall employee safety.Perform other duties as assigned.Utilize the internal system (Axapta) to its full capabilities to assist the department.

Qualifications/Skills and Abilities:High School diploma or GED equivalent degree required; college degree preferred.A minimum of two years of receiving/storage experience in a food products environment.A minimum of two years of supervisory experience.PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.Ability to work a full-time schedule of 50+ hours a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.Ability to use equipment including stand-up forklift, electric jack, and scissor lift.
