Lead AI EngineerChicago, IL (Hybrid)Full time, direct hireContact: Mary at mnugent@forbestc.comResponsibilities:Prototype and test AI-driven solutions with a focus on NLP and document text extraction using Python, Streamlit, PyPDF, and Azure Document Intelligence.Develop and implement AI plugins and assistants leveraging LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Semantic Kernel, specializing in prompt engineering and semantic function design.Design Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) stores by combining traditional information retrieval techniques with semantic embeddings, utilizing vector and graph databases.Build and deploy AI agents using AutoGen, CrewAI, LangChain Agents, and LlamaIndex Agents.Utilize Generative AI to extract metadata and generate insights from documents.Fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) to optimize performance and reduce costs for domain-specific applications.Collaborate with key stakeholders to automate AI-powered workflows and improve business processes.Maintain and enhance documentation, adhere to coding best practices, and ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility across the team.Required Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in AI engineering or a closely related field.Proficiency in AI engineering tools and technologies such as Python, Streamlit, Jupyter Notebooks, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Semantic Kernel.Strong experience with natural language processing, text extraction, and information retrieval methods.In-depth knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts, including transformer-based GPT models.Experience with distributed computing and cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure).Preferred Skills:Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Proven expertise in developing scalable AI solutions and optimizing LLMs for specialized domains.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
