JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for shaping Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' (NCLH) strategic ship deployment plans. Leverage data-driven analysis, market research, performance metrics, and industry trends to optimize deployment plans, capitalize on market opportunities and meet revenue targets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Generate planned figures for new deployments and provide recurring forecast numbers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market dynamics.Conduct in-depth analysis of historical data to recommend optimal deployment plans that maximize ticket and onboard revenue for the company.Assist in blocking plan proposals outlining various deployment scenarios to optimize revenue generation and guest satisfaction.Run comprehensive analyses to ensure compliance with contractual obligations in target markets, mitigating risks and maximizing returns.Monitor the performance of existing deployments and identify opportunities for revenue maximization through strategic redeployment in lucrative markets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Air team, Destinations team, Marina Operations, Revenue Management, and Port Operations to gather feedback on deployment plans, aiming to reduce operational challenges and enhance guest satisfaction while maximizing total yield.Continuously evaluate industry trends and market conditions to inform deployment strategy adjustments and capitalize on emerging opportunities for revenue growth.Drive innovation in deployment planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in achieving revenue targets.Mentor and develop team members, ensuring a strong succession pipeline and alignment with broader organizational objectives.Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE:
Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY:
Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning, commercial planning, or deployment strategy within the cruise industry or related field.Management experience preferred.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, with the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets to derive meaningful insights.Familiarity with commercial planning processes, including itinerary development, ship scheduling, and capacity management.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive projects to completion.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Tableau, or similar programs.Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the cruise or travel industry preferred.Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to mentor and develop team members, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive results.
