Worth, Tx• Create revisions to detail parts and assemblies. Additionally, the designer may be asked to mature design concepts in support of a revision or new part release when a revision is not the appropriate avenue for change.• Update detail, assembly, and installation CAD models and engineering for the airframe.• Assist in researching technical data and developing solutions for the project or assignment.• Coordinate with other engineering, manufacturing, or specialty personnel to resolve problems and execute revision routing.• Specific tasks include supporting the development of product changes and improvements; responding to data/action requests from procurement, manufacturing, tooling etc., preparation of engineering change requests and change orders; and engineering drawing maintenance.• Applies technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate design activities, prioritize tasks, and report status to design leads.• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams to complete design tasks.• Proficient in 3DX CAD and PLM processes is required; prior experience with CATIA V5/V6and Enovia is preferred.• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.• Position Requirements: 5+ years aerospace structural design experience is required.Qualifications• BS mechanical engineering.• 8+ years relevant experience with tilt rotor aircraft• Knowledge of GD&T basics• Proficient in CATIA v6Preferred:3Dx experience, Airframe/AerostructurePhysical Requirements & Work Environment:• Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.• Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing and computer work.• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.• Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.• US Citizen is required due to nature of workThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
